Yellow fever is a viral disease transmitted by mosquitoes, with areas of risk primarily in parts of South America and Sub-Saharan Africa. Vaccination is the most effective preventive measure, and some countries require proof of vaccination for entry.
For travelers to any of the areas, listed below, the following is required.
- Vaccination must be taken at least 10 days before travel.
- Visitors must have the Stamped International Card in their possession.
